War of 1812 Encampment
The War of 1812 comes to life as British and American forces gather at Old Fort Niagara. The event features battle reenactments, living history camps, uniform programs and a Saturday night battle that recreates the 1813 British capture of the fort.

*Please note the following special instructions for Saturday's evening battle:
• On Saturday, the fort is open extended hours because of the Evening Battle.
• Last chance to purchase admission or enter the property Saturday evening is 7:00 p.m.
• Holders of receipts from earlier Saturday admission may use them to reenter the fort for the Evening Battle.
• FOR ALL VISITORS, the CUT OFF for entry to the fort on Saturday is 7:00.
• No one will be admitted after 7:00 p.m. on Saturday, or after 4:30 p.m. on Sunday.
All visitors must exit the fort immediately following conclusion of Saturday Evening Battle.
Hours of Operation
January through March, Open Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. (Closed Monday-Thursday) 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m
April 1- June 30, Open Daily 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
July and August, Open Daily 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
September 1 - October 15, Open Daily 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
October 16 - December 31, Open Wednesday through Sunday (Closed Mondays and Tuesdays) 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
The fort will be open daily during Christmas week, December 26 - 31.
Closed New Year's Day, Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day.

Old Fort Niagara is operated by the Old Fort Niagara Association, an independent, not-for-profit organization established in 1927. We do not rely on tax dollars. Instead, the Fort is funded through a combination of admission fees, museum shop sales, and charitable contributions.
