All Hallows Eve Family Event

Sun Oct 29th, 2023 - All Day

Join us on Sunday, October 29th, for our All Hallows’ Eve celebration! Enjoy an autumn day at the Fort collecting candy, listening to some not-so-scary stories, and learning about Halloween traditions of bygone eras. The program runs from 10:00 am – 4:00 pm.

Program highlights include:

  • What is All Hallows' Eve?
  • The Story of the Well - How Myth Becomes Legend
  • The History of the Jack O’ Lantern
  • Spooky Stories from the Old Fort Niagara Archives
  • Post Cemetery Tours at 11:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m.

Hours of Operation

PLEASE NOTE: THE FORT WILL BE CLOSED FROM JANUARY 1 THROUGH JANUARY 12, 2024 FOR INVENTORY. THE SITE WILL REOPEN ON SATURDAY, JANUARY 13.

January 13 through March, Open Wednesday-Sunday  10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m

April 1- June 30, Open Daily 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

July and August, Open Daily 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

September 1 - October 15, Open Daily 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

October 16 - December 31, Open Wednesday through Sunday (Closed Mondays and Tuesdays) 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. 

The fort will be open daily during Christmas week, December 26 - 31. 

Closed New Year's Day, Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day.
