Tourguide Training Announcedby remerson
Spring is here (at least in theory) and Old Fort Niagara's parking lot will soon be full of school buses. We are excited for the new season to begin and we are looking forward to working with new and returning tour guides to provide a great visitor experience. Sessions will be as follows: New Tour Guides- Thursday and Friday, April 24 and 25 from 9:00 am to Noon. These two sessions are designed to introduce new tour guides to the Fort staff and will orient them to the basic history of the Fort. These sessions will include both historical information as well as the "nuts and bolts" information they will need to know about being a tour guide at the Fort. New and current tour guides- Saturday, April 26, 9:00 am to Noon. This part of the training will include all guides and is designed to enable new tour guides to meet returning tour guides, as well as bringing everyone up to speed on relevant changes for the upcoming season. Please RSVP to Genevieve Montante by calling (716) 745-7611 ext. 221. Feel free to call if you have any questions.
