DONATIONS

YOUR GIFT. OUR HISTORY. A LASTING LEGACY.

When you donate to Old Fort Niagara, you're not just giving—you’re investing in the preservation of 300 years of history. Your generosity ensures that this historic landmark continues to educate, inspire, and connect people to the past for generations to come.

Your support allows us to:

  • Preserve seven original 18th-century buildings—the oldest on the Great Lakes.
  • Maintain over 23 acres of historic grounds and fortifications.
  • Sustain essential operations to keep the site open to the public year-round.
  • Employ expert historians and interpreters who bring Fort Niagara’s stories to life.
  • Expand dynamic educational programs for students and visitors.
  • Protect and share an extensive collection of artifacts, documents, and publications.

Your contribution makes history accessible, meaningful, and alive. Thank you for helping us protect this national treasure!

HELP US BUILD THE NATIVE AMERICAN EDUCATION CENTER

For centuries, the land where Old Fort Niagara stands has been a gathering place for Indigenous nations—a site of diplomacy, exchange, and resilience.

We’re honoring that legacy by building the Native American Education Center—a hewn log structure rooted in 18th-century tradition and led by Indigenous voices. This space will preserve culture, share stories, and educate visitors through exhibits, programs, and immersive experiences.

We’re close to completing this powerful project—but we need your help to finish construction, furnish the space, and launch Indigenous-led programming.

Every gift helps bring this vision to life.
