French and Indian War Encampment

Relive the historic siege of 1759, when British, Provincial and Native American forces captured Fort Niagara from the French. This event features living history camps, battle reenactments, demonstratrions of 18th century siegecraft, frontier diplomacy and much more.

11:00 a.m. Battle # 1 British Assault the Lunette- Battle Area. Please note: for safety reasons, access to the fort will be closed from 10:45 until 11:30 am Friday only. To view the 11:00 am battle, please arrive by 10:15 am.

1:00 p.m. Field Music Concert

2:00 p.m. Engineering and Artillery Demonstration- French lines

3:00 p.m. Battle # 2 French Sortie – Battle Area

4:00 p.m. Artillery Demonstration- Dauphin Battery

 

Saturday, July 3

Encampment Hours: 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.

Ticket purchases are at the door. 

Admission $16.00 for adults and $11.00 for children 6-12, under 6 free.

This is a special event and no discounts are available.

Also- the Fort Niagara Officers Club will be open 11:00 - 4:00 with exhibits and presentations on the 20th century history of Fort Niagara.

September 1 - October 15, Open Daily 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

October 16 - December 31, Open Wednesday through Sunday (Closed Mondays and Tuesdays) 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. 

The fort will be open daily during Christmas week, December 26 - 31. 

Closed New Year's Day, Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day.
